Course Details

Key Performance Objectives:

Perform all scheduled maintenance for 8,000 hours of operation
Inspect and prep and compressor for startup
Inspect and service compressor after shutdown
Inspect and rebuild packing case

Troubleshoot and service:
- Compressor lubrication systems
- Main and rod bearing clearances
- Key mechanical clearances
- Key frame, crankshaft, and cylinder alignments

Key Performance Objectives:

Must complete Mechanics Level - 1 to participate*

Disassemble JGK: bearing replacement
Review new configuration KBK/KBT
Cylinder removal, reinstall and leveling
Rebuild SVU; rebuild FVCP
Piston and rod disassembly
Reassemble JGK

KBU – remove and replace crankshaft
KBU: ER-82 soft foot and frame flatness
KBU – clearance checks
Oil analysis sample
Vibration analysis
Ariel Performance software introduction; exercises
